Head tulemused viisid TÜ tudengid teist korda järjest maailma kõige mainekama programmeerimisvõistluse finaali. Viimasel ajal hoiavad rahvusvahelistel programeerimisvõistlustel Eesti ja Tartu Ülikooli lippu kõrgel tudengid Tähvend Uustalu (matemaatika 2. aasta tudeng), Andres Unt ja Oliver Nisumaa (mõlemad matemaatika 3. aasta tudengid) ja Martin - [Targo Tennisberg: Võistlusprogrammeerimine on nagu ralliauto juhtimine](https://blog.cs.ut.ee/2018/12/04/targo-tennisberg-voistlusprogrammeerimine-on-nagu-ralliauto-juhtimine/) - Hiljaaegu avaldasime blogis loo „TÜ tudengid saavutavad programmeerimisvõistlustel suurepäraseid tulemusi“. Et avada võistlusprogrammeerimise telgitaguseid, vestlesime ettevõtja Targo Tennisbergiga. Ta on Eesti informaatikaolümpiaadi üks eestvedajaid ning avaldanud Võistlusprogrammeerimise õpiku (PDF). Mis vahe on “tavalisel” ja “võistlusprogrammeerimisel” ? Umbes sama vahe nagu liinibussi ja ralliauto juhtimisel. Mingid oskused on samad, aga hulk asju on ka erinevad. Teisest küljest sõltuvad nende kättesaadavusest ja suurusest kõnesünteesi ja kõnetuvastuse kvaliteet, eriti kui kasutada kaasaegseid süvaõppel põhinevaid lähenemisi. See on eriti oluline muu hulgas eesti keelele, mille puhul on kõneandmeid väga vähe.
